Shuttle Buses Return for Ranfurly Shield Defence
Leave your car behind this Sunday and travel to Yarrow Stadium by shuttle bus!
“There’s going to be a huge crowd watching Taranaki defend the Ranfurly Shield against Hawke’s Bay, so we’re encouraging people to leave their cars behind and take a shuttle bus instead,” says Manager Venues Jenny Mills.
“The buses are an easy way to get to and from the stadium, and fans will be there in good time for the kick-off!”
The buses will loop between the Ariki Street Bus Station and Yarrow Stadium from 2.30pm to 4.30pm for a gold coin donation, and will return people to the city’s CBD after the game.
The Lower Courtenay Car Park (beneath The Warehouse) and Downtown Car Park will be open through the day and all night for free so people can leave their cars in the city and take a shuttle bus to and from the game.
“With so many people heading to one venue, pedestrian and vehicle congestion is something we want to minimise. So pre-buy your tickets, make sure you leave plenty of time to get to the stadium, and let someone else worry about the driving by jumping on a shuttle bus,” says Ms Mills.
