Tickets are hot property for Auckland Home Show this year with stand out sales on Monday morning that saw thousands of units sold.

Website Grabone.co.nz sold out of their 4000 allocated tickets by 10am and other online ticket sales are currently double that of the same time last year.

With more than $1.4 billion spent on home improvements and renovations in 2010 (a figure that doesn’t include small scale jobs), 2011 is set to grow even bigger and the Auckland Home Show is ready to cater for all renovation queries big or small.

Marketing Manager of Exhibitions and Events Jenny Murfitt says “We’re very excited about this year’s Show. We think Aucklanders have been riding out the recession and don’t want to wait any longer to put some of their renovation plans into action.”

With over 500 exhibitors, thousands of products and services, new ideas and expert advice, consumers have responded positively to the impressive five-day program.

“We’ve definitely seen proof of that in our pre-show ticket sales, which are already double that of last year. We think this is a really positive indication of how successful this year’s Auckland Home Show is going to be,” says Jenny.

The Auckland Home Show spotlight is focused firmly on new home building, renovation and adding value this year, whether it is updating kitchen and bathroom areas, refreshing living room spaces or simply looking to increase house size.

Free expert seminars are being be held daily across the show, giving show goers advice on everything from interior design, to protecting assets and ensuring renovation projects are successful and on budget.
And the ‘Ask the Renovation Experts’ consultation area will be kept busy with visitors bringing their plans and ideas along for their free consultation with the renovation experts from Finesse Residential.

Other features of note at this years show include the Street of Houses, a fully interactive street of housing and landscape ideas, the Auckland Landscape Supplies Walk of Gardens, the Smeg Cooking Theatre, Green Urban Living seminars, the Designer Living Pavilion, and the Fisher & Paykel YUM Kitchen.
