All Blacks Sonny Bill Williams, Tony Woodcock and Piri Weepu will visit Kaeo on Friday (September 2).

The New Zealand Rugby Union confirmed earlier today which players would be at the Kaeo Rugby Club as part of a keenly-anticipated All Blacks visit publicised four weeks ago.

The three players are among groups of All Blacks who will visit 11 towns from Kaeo to Winton on Friday before assembling for the Rugby World Cup tournament.

Williams, Woodcock and Weepu will arrive at the rugby club at about 10:15am after driving through Kaeo with a police escort.

Club president Robby Ball and Far North Mayor Wayne Brown will welcome the players after a mihi whakatau (welcome) for ripper rugby players from about a dozen schools across the district.

The All Blacks will present a plaque and signed rugby jersey to Mr Ball before watching mixed-grade ripper games and interacting with players from 11am to 12pm.

They will be available for photos and autographs in the club rooms from 12pm to 12:45pm before a private lunch with club members and invited guests.

They will also present junior rugby host for the day, Troy Hughes (12), with Adidas sport gear.

Troy's father is one of the club's senior players and his whole family have played for Kaeo Rugby Club.

Troy is an outstanding and dedicated player who was a Bay of Islands under 13 rep this year and a rep in the Taniwha Cup last year.

The Kaeo Rugby Club and the Far North District Council invite the public to come to the club grounds to watch the ripper rugby games and to get gear signed by the All Blacks.

People can also see the All Blacks drive through the main street of Kaeo at about 10am.

Kaeo businesses are expected to dress their shop windows for the occasion.

All Blacks fans are encouraged to dress in black and white and paint their faces with silver ferns.
