Endace and Aura Announce Hi-Tech Hook-Up To Better Protect Credit Card Data
Endace (LSE: EDA), world leaders in world leader in cyber-security network monitoring and recording tools, today announced an alliance with Aura RedEye Security. The two companies have collaborated to create the world’s first integrated Network Intrusion Detection System and Vulnerability Scanning Engine which is targeted at organisations seeking to achieve PCI DSS compliance for their operational networks.
PCI DSS is the global Payment Card Industry information security standard and defines a series of information security requirements that organisations, such as online retailers, must have in place if they are to support online credit card transactions. In New Zealand alone there are more than 80,000 organisations that require some level of PCI compliance.
Amongst more than a dozen requirements, PCI requires organisations to run quarterly vulnerability scans of their network that attempt to identify systems that are potentially vulnerable to attack and have a network intrusion detection system deployed that can detect a wide range of different attacks. Traditionally these two technologies have been physically separate however, through technical collaboration between the two organisations, the two technologies have been bought together to create a compelling one-box solution that offers daily vulnerability scanning, improves visibility into all types of security threats and provides 100% accurate packet-level forensic evidence for any breaches and vulnerabilities.
