Celebrate good times… come on Dunedin!
Whether you’re going to a match or not, there’s plenty happening in Dunedin on match days, especially in the hours leading up to kick-off.
Local bands and local entertainers feature in festival hubs in the Octagon and the block of George Street from Hanover Street to Frederick Street.
Bands will also give fans a musical lead down Anzac Avenue to Otago Stadium, and there are more than 20 food stalls dotted along the walking routes.
But it’s not just match day when Dunedin will be putting its best foot forward; there are events of every kind in the four weeks Rugby World Cup 2011 is in town.
Here are just a few of the highlights:

  • Gardening buff? Try the Glenfalloch Spring Festival of art…
  • Car buff? Don’t miss the Autospectacular…
  • Food lover? Head to the Port Chalmers Seafood Festival…
  • Looking to get into the community? Try Cuisine at St Clair or the Roslyn Village Rendezvous…
  • Seeking some culture? We have plenty! Such as the Celtic Arts Festival, or the Last Night of the Proms…
  • Wanting a taste of the arts? What about the Dunedin Youth Orchestra Spring Concert or the Peter Bush photography exhibition “Hard on the Heels: Capturing the ALL BLACKS”…
  • Music? Don’t miss Urban Factory’s night with Dunedin magic legends The Chills, Robert Scott and guests…
  • We even have education covered with the Otago Polytechnic Innovation Showcase in the mix.
