Brooklands to Sparkle with Fireworks Spectacular
Early November will see the TSB Bank Fireworks Spectacular return to the TSB Bowl of Brooklands.
Organised by New Plymouth District Council, the spectacular will be held on Saturday 3 November with live entertainment leading up to the 9.00pm fireworks display.
“These shows have seen the Bowl full to bursting point in previous years, and this time around there is even more on offer to entertain the crowd,” says Manager Events Ron Murray.
Leading the entertainment programme is the hugely popular, high-energy singing group The Beat Girls. Taranaki singer songwriters, with the support of the Taranaki Arts Community Trust, will also be on stage.
The TSB Bank Superscreen will also make an appearance, giving the audience close-up views of the performers.
Mr Murray says the public will not be allowed to bring pets or their own fireworks, including sparklers, to the Bowl.
“However we are encouraging the public to turn up with picnics to make an evening of it,” he says.
“People can bring food and beverages if they wish, but please keep any glass containers at home.”
Gates open at 6.30pm with the entertainment starting at 7.00pm. If the event is postponed due to wet weather, it will be held on the following night – listen to Classic Hits after 5.00pm on Saturday night for any postponement information.
