Comments on the draft Central City Plan close at 5pm this Friday, 16 September.

Residents have only four more days to tell the Christchurch City Council what they think – good and bad – about what is proposed in the draft Central City Plan for the redevelopment of the Central City.

More than 3450 comments have already been received by 730 submitters, which City Council Central City Plan Sponsor Mike Theelen says is a fantastic response to date.

“We expect to receive many more comments before the consultation period ends at 5pm this Friday.

“The feedback we have been getting has been extremely positive. People love what we are proposing in the draft Plan.”

He says light rail and proposed new building heights for the Central City have produced the greatest number of comments.

“I encourage everyone to get their comments in early; we need to receive your comments by 5pm this Friday, 16 September, for them to be considered.”

Comments can be made online at www.centralcityplan.org.nz; emailed to centralcityplan@ccc.govt.nz; posted to Freepost 178, Christchurch City Council, PO Box 73001, Christchurch 8154; or delivered to the drop box in the HSBC building, 62 Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch.
