Tuesday saw a highscoring game in Pool C, where Russia's first ever Rugby World Cup tries could not prevent Italy registering a 53-17 win.

Italy went into the break on the back of six tries but despite a more resilient second half performance, Russia just couldn't find a way back into the match.

Throughout the tournament we will be providing a regular Fan Forum which will include some of your comments from the official Rugby World Cup Twitter account, @rugbyworldcup, and #rwc2011, and here is a selection of your thoughts after today's matches:

@RowlandHarding: Holiday, cup of tea, fire on and rugby on the tele! Living the dream!
@Dave Sharp: Russia get their first ever rugby world cup try !!
@Jerry Hughes: This shows you how much Italy have improved via the 6 Nations now, they're literally running through Russia non-stop.
@MR: Plenty of coffee & ready to cheer for Russia vs Italy. Two of the greatest sounding national anthems, too! Go Bears!
@H.A. Morton: Come on bears we need a better second half.
@ernpellegrini: You're our gladiator Parisse! Forza Azzurri!
@adam_weavers: Russia could become the new Italy! Not great now, but in a few years time, they could become a real force!
@mcjoey: Cant believe im missing this game so proud of Italy. Thanks for the updates!
@AncientTorfaen: Three tries for Russia, you have to give them credit, they have never given up!
@TheRugbyTwit: Emphatic win from the Azzurri. Italy 53-17 Russia. Some really promising rugby from the Italians. Russia also showed some flare.
@SportsFanAttic: Russia scored some nice trys, but were outdone by the stronger Italians.
