Taupō, Mangakino and Turangi libraries are implementing Kōtui, a new shared Library Management system. Kōtui is a national initiative that will link our district libraries to offer more selection for our community and provide a friendlier system for our librarians.

Library patrons will now be able to access thousands more items from any of the three libraries in the district no matter where they are located. The system will also allow customers to easily search for e-books or digital subscription information as well as books, magazines and DVDs.

Library Manager Luisa Haines says thanks to Kōtui, library customers will be able to easily discover and access resources from home, school or work as well as from inside a library. “The new system will go ‘live’ at Taupō and Mangakino Libraries on Thursday 6 October and at Turangi
Library on Wednesday 12 October.

There will be a transition period a few days prior to the ‘go live’ dates which will affect the online library. “Book holds, inter-loans and access to the library catalogue may be offline for a few days. We ask patrons for patience during this short transition.”
