Road Closures for Our People Our Place

Palmerston North City Council would like to notify residents of Palmerston North that there will be some road closures during activities held in the Square for the Our People Our Place 2011 festival.

Road closure times are as follows:

• 29 September 2011, 1.00pm to 9.00pm for Air Max
• 30 September 2011, 5.00pm to 9.00pm for a Youth Event
• 1 October 2011, 2.00pm to 9.00pm for Kiwi Concert
• 2 October 2011, 11.00am to 9.00pm for Cultural Day

Roads affected will be Rangitikei Street intersection outside the Square car park to Main Street Roundabout. This will affect The Square inner and outer lanes at times.

Free activities in The Square will include Air Max with inflatable rugby games, a youth event, a special Kiwi Concert featuring New Zealand’s Dave Dobbyn and Hollie Smith and a day in which our region’s diverse ethnic cultures will be celebrated with food, arts and music.

The Our People Our Place festival is run in conjunction with the Rugby World Cup 2011 and will enable a wide number of people to participate in free activities.
