NPDC Community Funding for 2011
More than $200,000 has been allocated to 22 community groups from NPDC’s Funding Subcommittee.
Manager Community Development Leighton Littlewood says the successful applicants cover a wide range of activities and age groups.
“We had applications for nearly four times the amount of available funding, which shows the extent of work being done by groups in the community and the continued need for financial support for these groups,” says Mr Littlewood.
“We spread the fund over as many groups as possible and try to get the best return we can for the community, although inevitably some have missed out, and some haven’t received the full amount they applied for.”
