Elf-help coming for Hamilton City Library users
Avid Hamilton City Library-users are about to receive some ‘elf-help’ in the form of a free email reminder service known as ELF launching 15 October 2007.
ELF is a web-based and email tool for library users that enables individuals to keep track of their library borrowings and when reserved items become available. Library users can subscribe to the ELF service free of charge by registering online at the Hamilton City Libraries website: www.hamiltonlibraries.co.nz .
Hamilton City Libraries director Faye Clark says that ELF adds a further dimension to the libraries’ ongoing commitment to providing a value-added service based on continuous improvement.
“ELF is a fully-automated tool that is ideal for all library users, making it easier for a borrower to keep track of what they have due, overdue or ready for pickup from one or more Hamilton City Library accounts. The ELF account is auto-checked every day and email notices are sent so an account-holder is kept fully up-to-date with all transactions on their library account.”
