Haven’t got time to post your vote in to make it on time to count. That’s no problem in Hamilton because on Saturday morning from 8am to 12 noon a drive-through voting service will be operating in the Anglesea Street car park by the main Council building.

Electoral official Anthony Dick says the drive-though voting drop off service is a new innovation and is expected to be very popular with electors.

“We’ll have a team of people in the car park. Electors will be able to drive in, hand over their voting envelope which will be immediately put into a secure ballot box, and drive on through.”

Progressive results will be posted on www.hamilton.co.nz/elections by 1pm and the preliminary result will be posted by 6pm.
