South African Tourism has launched a competition for one lucky winner and a partner to visit the unique and enthralling destination that is South Africa.

Consumers looking for something different are encouraged to visit a newly developed website www.leaveordinarybehind.co.nz and discover the hundreds of amazing experiences on offer.

“We have developed the website so that those thinking about a trip to South Africa can compose their own holiday sneak preview and get a taste for the unordinary that our wonderful country offers,” says Lalie Ngozi, Country Manager, South African Tourism Australasia.

“The sneak preview videos can then be uploaded and shared with friends on Facebook.”

Aiming to engage and encourage tourists to tick South Africa off their bucket list, the Leave Ordinary Behind campaign includes a variety of marketing platforms and is underpinned by a communications strategy that relies on real stories from past travellers or visitors to the country.

To enter the competition, people should go to www.leaveordinarybehind.co.nz and visit the map of South Africa where they can view some of the country’s unique experiences, and create their own video experience including imagery and video from the map and personalised details. Then in three words, describe South Africa.
