Voter returns for Wellington City are currently 34.48 percent, this compares to 37.49 percent at the same stage in 2004.

For an update on the voter return figures, visit the Council's website www.Wellington.govt.nz

All votes must be returned to the Council by midday Saturday
13 October. People wishing to cast a last minute vote can do so at the Council offices at 101 Wakefield Street, which will be open to voters between 9.00am and midday tomorrow. Votes can also be dropped off at the ballot boxes at the city's libraries until midday tomorrow.

Preliminary results are scheduled to be announced at 10.00pm tomorrow night in the Committee Room foyer of the Council offices. If the number of votes returned on Saturday is smaller than anticipated, the announcement may be brought forward. Media will be advised on Saturday afternoon if the time is likely to change.

Final results will be announced by the Council's Electoral Officer Ross Bly on Wednesday 17 October and confirmed by public notice in the Dominion Post on Thursday 18 October. The Council website will be updated with preliminary results and with final results once they have been announced.
