MDC Holdings Ltd - Director

Expressions of interest are sought for a director on the Board of MDC Holdings Ltd.

The shareholder, Marlborough District Council, is seeking a director that has strong corporate governance skills and extensive financial knowledge. Property development experience would also be an advantage.

MDC Holdings Limited is 100% owned by Marlborough District Council. Council established MDC Holdings Limited for the purposes of:

• Separating commercial trading activities from the other functions it carries out
• Bringing Council’s main trading activities into one structure
• Obtaining commercial borrowing facilities at the most attractive rate attainable.

MDC Holdings Limited has 100% shareholdings in Port Marlborough NZ Ltd and Marlborough Airport Ltd.

The term of the directorship is for a maximum period of six years.
