SUBWAY® Pro Cycling’s Paul Odlin hopes to go one better than the second place he finished in last year’s Christchurch to Akaroa event, Le Race, being held on Saturday.

Odlin was two minutes behind Michael Vink who set a new course record of two hours and thirty seven minutes, and is joined by SUBWAY® Pro Cycling team mates Matt Gorter, Sam Horgan, Tom Hubbard and Nick Lovegrove in the tough 100 kilometre race.

SUBWAY® Pro Cycling General Manager Hayden Godfrey said he also thought Horgan and Hubbard should be in the mix with strong support from Gorter and Lovegrove.

Horgan, who is the current series leader of the Benchmark Homes Tour, was fifth in last year’s race, only twenty seconds behind Odlin.

Due to the February earthquake Le Race was postponed from March to October 15th.
