FNDC prelim results

The Far North District has a new Mayor –Wayne Brown (Value for Ratepayers ticket).
Three sitting council members have not been re-elected- Jack Katavich (Northern Ward), Garry Weeds (Eastern Ward) and Sue Shepherd (Eastern Ward). Cr Brian Thorburn did not seek re-election.
The new councilors are Colin Kitchen (Northern Ward), Sally Macauley (Western Ward- previously Western Community Board chair), Steve McNally (Eastern Ward) and Di Maxwell (Eastern Ward) Macauley, McNally and Maxwell were elected on the Value for Ratepayers ticket.
Former Eastern Community Board chair Doug Turner has not been re-elected
