HAMILTON

Hamilton City Council has appointed two new trustees to the Vibrant Hamilton Trust.

The Vibrant Hamilton Trust promotes the social, economic, environmental and cultural wellbeing of the City of Hamilton and its communities.

It has replaced the now dissolved Waikato Foundation Trust.

Hamilton lawyer Thomas Gibbons and experienced trustee and former City Councillor Malcolm Brooker have taken the two publicly nominated seats on the trust as of this month.

Mr Brooker, a former chair of the Waikato Foundation Trust, will serve as a trustee for one year and will vacate his position in October 2012, making way for engineering manager Matthew Keightley.

Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker, Councillor John Gower and Councillor Roger Hennebry are the other three trustees.
