Update on roading conditions (9am)

Waikaia is cut off by floodwaters this morning and some southern roads remain affected as well. Drivers are asked to take care on roads around Waikaia, Freshford, Pyramid-Waiparu, Taramoa-West Plains, and the Wallacetown and Thornbury bridges, as many are affected by surface flooding.

Southland District Council contractors are checking roads throughout the area, and are putting signs out but drivers need to drive to the conditions on both main and local roads.
