Cornwall Park Splash Pad to open for summer

Summer is almost upon us and that will see the Splash Pad at Cornwall Park turned on and available for hours of water fun once again.

The Splash Pad is located near the children’s playground and is set within the surrounds of the historic paddling pool. It proved immensely popular with children of all ages when it was first opened in December 2010.

The zero depth water fun activity has had landscaping work and planned maintenance completed over the winter period. This summer the fun will increase, as a new water play feature, called the Pole Ka has been installed. The Pole Ka shoots a circular shower of water from a central pole.

The Splash Pad can be used at any time of the day simply by pushing the button on Hank’s nose. The water will then run through the sequence of play features before turning off automatically after a period of time.

The Splash Pad will be open from Saturday November 5th, 2011 until April 10th, 2012.
