Council's Annual Report 2010-2011

The Marlborough District Council’s Annual Report for 2010-2011 is now available on the Council website on the annual Report page under Plans, Policies and Documents. It was formally adopted by Council on Thursday 27 October.

The report is also summarised into an easy-to-read document outlining the key points.
Marlborough Mayor, Alistair Sowman says the report shows how Council has met its financial and performance targets and it shows the current state of Council assets and liabilities.

“It’s a strong picture of solid performance. We are the envy of our colleagues across the hill,” said Mr Sowman.

The report shows that the district has $1.3 B in assets with just $38 M in liabilities.

“Our external borrowings net of investments are at a highly respectable level of just $3.9 M. It’s a very healthy financial position compared with other local authorities,” said Mr Sowman.
