Greens pay respect to Allan Peachey

The Green Party expressed it’s sincere sympathy to the family and colleagues of Allan Peachey MP for Tamaki who passed away today.

“As the Chair of the Education and Science Select Committee, Allan was always fair to everyone and he created a constructive working environment,” said Green Party Education spokesperson Catherine Delahunty.

“He was always respectful to submitters and Committee members alike and, whatever our political disagreements, he endeavoured to give everyone a fair opportunity.”

Ms Delahunty said Mr Peachey was particularly interested in Special Education and always willing to engage with the complex issues affecting children, parents, and schools.

“He will be missed by all who were on the Committee and our thoughts are with his family.”
