Regional Pest Management Strategy cost recovery fees

<p>Under the Biosecurity Act 1993, Marlborough District Council is the Management Agency responsible for implementing the Regional Pest Management Strategy for Marlborough 2007.</p> <p>During 2009 the Council set fees for the purpose of the issue of notices and inspections, which were:</p> <p>Notice of Direction &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;$160 + GST<br /> Notice of Intention to Work on Default &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;$160 + GST<br /> Inspection fee post notice &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; $96 + GST per hour</p> <p>Council is required to annually review the fees.</p> <p>That review has been carried out and the following reduced fees were approved by Council, on Thursday 3 November 2011, subject to Public Consultation.</p> <p>Notice of Direction &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;$120 + GST<br /> Notice of Intention to Work on Default &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;$120 + GST<br /> Inspection fee post notice &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; $82 + GST per hour</p> <p>The public is hereby notified that the consultation period is 17 November to 16 December 2011.</p> <p>Please direct any enquiry to D Grueber, Biosecurity Coordinator, at the Marlborough District Council PO Box 443 Blenheim 7240 or by Email to dave.grueber@marlborough.govt.nz</p>
