Final Audited Election Results for Wellington City
Wellington City Council Electoral Officer Ross Bly has declared the final election results for Wellington City Council.
There were no changes from Wellington City Council's preliminary result to the final result which included 590 special votes. These included:
Northern Ward - 46
Onslow-Western Ward - 120
Lambton Ward - 208
Eastern Ward - 114
Southern Ward – 102
Mayor Kerry Prendergast has been re-elected to serve a third term as Mayor of Wellington City. She will be supported by the following 14 Councillors from the city's five wards.

Mr Bly says that, although a large number of people returned their votes in the final days before voting ended at midday on Saturday, just 40 percent of eligible people voted. This compares to 42 percent in the 2004 elections, and 49 percent in 2001.
