Khandallah Pool Opens

Khandallah Pool, one of Wellington's outdoor swimming spots, opens this Saturday 26 November for its usual summer season.

• The 30-metre unheated pool is popular with locals and the native bush setting provides a shady haven on a hot day.
• Backing onto Khandallah Park, there are a number of walking tracks in the vicinity, including a route up Mount Kaukau, as well as picnic spots, a children's playground and cafe.
• Khandallah is one of two open-air summer pools operated by Wellington City Council, the other being Thorndon Pool, which is heated.
• The pool is open from 10.00am to 6.00pm every day, except Christmas Day, at 45 Woodmancote Road, Khandallah.
