A large range of social services exists in this district and it’s important that people understand their entitlements and know how to access any support or advice they may need.

A free booklet containing information about many of the services and agencies for older people is available from the Marlborough District Council.

The Positive Aging guide includes tips and information about the issues that can arise for older members of our community. It offers a number of sources of further information as well as telephone and website contacts.

The booklet provides information on health, transport, welfare and a wide range of other matters. As far as possible, local contact phone numbers have been included.

The booklet has been produced by the Marlborough District Council as a partner to the Marlborough Positive Aging Accord, which consists of a group of representatives from various organisations, and considers the concerns and needs of older people living in our community.

  • Pick up a free copy of “Positive Ageing; What You Need To Know” from the Council Customer Service Centre or the library.
