Wellington Phoenix Arise From The Whiskers

The Wellington Phoenix are not fans of close shaves on the field but on Thursday they will welcome one in the name of men's health.

Loyal supporters of Movember since the club was formed, the Phoenix players have again been raising funds for the Cancer Society and the Mental Heatlh Foundation of New Zealand by growing moustaches during this month.

There are a few to be proud of, but they will soon be disappearing.

It is the last chance for Phoenix fans to help their favourite player support the cause and they are welcome to attend the shave off.

The Phoenix players will hold a public shave off at the club’s official bar and restaurant, The Grand Hotel in Courtenay Place, at 1.30pm on December 1.
