Phoenix players public shave off

The Wellington Phoenix are not fans of close shaves on the field but on Thursday they will welcome one off it.

Loyal supporters of Movember since the club was formed, the Phoenix players have again been raising funds for prostate cancer and depression in men by growing moustaches during this month.

There are a few to be proud of, but come Thursday they will be disappearing.

The Phoenix players will hold a public shave off at the club’s official bar and restaurant, The Grand Hotel in Courtenay Place, at 1.30pm on December 1.

It is the last chance for Phoenix fans to help their favourite player support the cause and they are welcome to attend the shave off.
