LOWER HUTT

The stage is in place and the final touches are being put together for Nick Tansley’s Carols by Candlelight, at the Hutt Recreation Ground on Saturday night.

For the first time in its 21-year history, the iconic Christmas event is being brought to Lower Hutt, and excitement is high.

The award-winning Hutt City Brass Band will open the evening, along with several other talented acts, before Nick Tansley takes to the stage with his band for a full on evening of entertainment.

Santa is even scheduled to make an appearance, so dust off the picnic blankets and come on down to Hutt Rec for a fantastic event to kick off the Christmas season.

A wide variety of food and drinks will be available for purchase during the evening, along with face-painting, segway rides and more!

Gates open at 5pm, entry is free, and the finale is expected to finish by 9.30pm.

The Hutt Rec has a permanent liquor ban in place, so the event is alcohol free.

Pay parking will be available at Hutt Valley High School on Woburn Road and at Hutt Art on Myrtle Street. Attendees are encouraged to use public transport, and if taking a taxi to use the services of our event supporters Hutt & City Taxis.

All roads will remain open to traffic and attendees are advised to be aware of this.

Hutt City would like to thank supporters Higgins, Ricoh, Pelorus Trust, Shackel Motor Company, The Hutt News, The Breeze, Hutt City Professionals, Titan Cranes, and Hutt & City Taxis.
