Human remains recovered from search site

Christchurch police investigating the murder of Hayden Miles have recovered human remains from a crime scene at the Ruru Lawn Cemetery in Linwood.

Detective Senior Sergeant Tony Hill says the remains were recovered this afternoon from a location which is still under examination.

A forensic pathologist has been assisting Police at the site today.

A formal identification of the remains has not yet been made. A post-mortem is expected to be held tomorrow.

Hayden Miles' family have been kept fully informed of today's developments.
