Looking for an easy afternoon’s entertainment for the kids close to home this summer?

The Push Play in the Park programme is back and set to keep hundreds of children active and energised during the school holidays.

Come along to one of Hutt City’s great parks and enjoy two hours of fun and games designed to keep the entire family active during the holidays.

Council’s recreation and events manager Duncan Chisholm says activities are suitable for all abilities and designed for children aged 5 to 12 years and will run from 1 to 3pm.

“These sessions are all about having fun and getting everyone involved - bring a picnic and make an afternoon of it.”

Please wear sunscreen, shoes, a hat and bring a water bottle.

Wednesday 11 January - Mary Crowther Park, Wise Street, Wainuiomata
Thursday 12 January - CL Bishop Park, Marine Parade, Eastbourne
Friday 13 January - Trafalgar Park, Trafalgar Street, Waterloo
Monday 16 January - Avalon Park, Taita Drive, Avalon
Tuesday 17 January - Normandale School field, Martin Grove, Normandale
Wednesday 18 January - Poole Cres Reserve, Poole Crescent, Wainuiomata
Thursday 19 January - Te Whiti Park, Whites Line East, Waiwhetu
Friday 20 January - Walter Nash Park, Molesworth Street, Taita
Tuesday 24 January - Delaney Park, George Street, Stokes Valley
Wednesday 25 January - Butler Grove Reserve, Butler Grove, Naenae
Thursday 26 January - Karaka St Reserve, Karaka Street, Wainuiomata
Friday 27 January - Scholefield St Reserve, Scholefield Street, Petone

Parents and caregivers are required to stay with children throughout the programme.
If wet, the event is cancelled.
