Arrest made

Christchurch Police have today arrested and charged a 20 year old man in relation to a series of Fires and Burglaries in the Woolston area. He will appear in Court tomorrow charged with a variety of offences including Arson, attempted Arson, wilful damage and Burglary. The burglaries were to vacated earthquake damaged houses in the area for hot water cylinders. One house was moderately damaged as a result of a fire on the 2nd of January. Investigations will continue for other crimes of a similar nature in the area.
