Bodies recovered

At 1.15 a.m this morning Police confirmed two bodies were recovered in the Ruapuke Island area after a recreational vessel capsized earlier.

Three survivors were transported to Southland Hospital by a Southern Lakes helicopter and are in a stable condition.

No further media releases will be made tonight as next of kin have not been notified.
