Please Keep Off The Grass!

The upper Octagon is to be entirely fenced off for up to four weeks to allow the grass to recover.
Due to the prolonged idyllic summer weather we have had in Dunedin, the grass in the upper Octagon has not recovered as quickly as anticipated. The walkways that had been left available across the grass are now also being closed off. This closure is likely to remain in place for the next 3-4 weeks.
Signs will be displayed around the enclosed area to ensure the public is aware of this. We apologise for any inconvenience.
The cost to date of the repairs to the grass is approximately $3500.
