Anyone can make a submission to Council. It can be as simple as a single message or as complicated as a formal document.

A submission is simply another term for giving feedback or expressing a viewpoint on an issue.

A submission might be a general view of an issue or a detailed response to one particular point in a policy.

When the Council calls for submissions on a particular matter, it accepts submissions in many forms.

They may be emailed, typed or handwritten and posted or faxed to the Council.

Sometimes, depending on the issue, the Council will draw up a specific submission form for people to fill in, but there is no requirement to use only that form.

Make a submission on the Council’s proposed Dog Control Policy changes. The deadline is 17 February 2012.
