Voting papers go out to residents in the Burwood/Pegasus Ward this week for a new Ward Councillor following last year’s resignation of Christchurch City Councillor Chrissie Williams.

The by-election is being held over the coming weeks with the cut off for voting on Friday 10 February.

If people have not received their voting paper by Monday 23 January they can contact the election helpline on 0508 666 887 or go into one of three voting booths set up at the Civic Offices in Hereford Street, the Shirley Service Centre and the New Brighton Library.

Nominations for the position of Ward Councillor for the Burwood/Pegasus Ward closed on 22 December 2011.

The Electoral Enrolment Centre has provided detailed enrolment information for Burwood/Pegasus residents. More information here. You can also check your details and enrol at http://www.elections.org.nz/app/enrol.
