Ross Robertson, Labour MP for Manukau East and Assistant Speaker, has been elected as the President of Parliamentarians for Global Action.

Ross Robertson says he will work to promote high ethical standards for MPs across the globe.

“I have worked as the Chairperson of the International Council for four years and participated in a number of programmes which I believe put me in good stead for this role,” Ross Robertson said.

“I am honoured to have been elected and look forward to furthering the progress the organisation has made tackling regional conflict, HIV aids, arms trafficking and corruption,” Ross Robertson said.
