The 2011 Tokelau Census of Population and Dwellings was held on Tuesday, 18 October 2011. This page provides copies of forms, showcards, and pamphlets used in the 2011 Tokelau Census. See the ‘Available files’ box for samples of these.

Forms
The 2011 Tokelau Census forms are very similar to those used in the 2006 Tokelau Census. We made minimal changes to the forms used in the 2006 Tokelau Census. Changes introduced in 2011 focused on improving accuracy of responses given, while maintaining consistency with previous censuses. The 2011 Tokelau Census forms included two new topics on reading and writing ability, and information communication technology.
Tokelau Public Service employees, and their immediate families in Samoa were asked to complete an additional form. See a copy of the 2011 Tokelau Census Samoa form in the 'Available files' box at the top of the page.

Showcards
Showcards are designed to help respondents to better follow an interviewer’s questions and ensure an accurate response. There were used for the first time in the 2011 Tokelau Census.

Pamphlets
Pamphlets provide guidance to households and respondents on what kinds of information the census collects and why the census is undertaken. The Tokelau Census pamphlets were redesigned for 2011.
