Unwind with Sunday Bandstand

For those seeking a leisurely picnic lunch listening to top brass and pipe bands, don’t miss the Sunday Bandstand events from 12 noon this Sunday 5 February and every Sunday through to 25 March.

Christchurch City Council Marketing Manager Richard Stokes says this year’s programme is packed with another stellar line-up ready to entertain Cantabrians through the last of the summer weekends.

“We’ve scheduled the performances over lunchtime, so if you’ve got a free Sunday afternoon, this is the perfect opportunity to round up the family for a traditional picnic.”

The bands are playing in the Central Lawn near the historic Rose Garden in the Botanic Gardens and in other locations across the city.
