Residents in the Burwood/Pegasus Ward have one week left to get their votes in for a new Ward Councillor following last year’s resignation of Christchurch City Councillor Chrissie Williams.

The cut off for voting is 12 noon, Friday 10 February.

If people have not yet voted they are encouraged to post their votes as soon as possible or return them to Civic Offices in Hereford Street, the New Brighton Library or the Shirley Service Centre.

Anyone who has still not received their voting papers can contact the election helpline on 0508 666 887 or go into one of three voting booths set up at the Civic Offices in Hereford Street, the Shirley Service Centre and the New Brighton Library.

Nominations for the position of Ward Councillor for the Burwood/Pegasus Ward closed on 22 December 2011.

The Electoral Enrolment Centre has provided detailed enrolment information for Burwood/Pegasus residents. More information here. You can also check your details and enrol at http://www.elections.org.nz/app/enrol
