Operation Hope - Homicide Investigation To Feature On Police 10-7 Series

As part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of a 22 year old security guard in Henderson, the Police 10-7 series is to screen details about the homicide this Thursday evening.

Charanpreet Singh Dhaliwal’s body was found at a West Auckland construction site at about 3.00am on Friday 18 November 2011. The site is located nearby the Lincoln Road – North Western Motorway overbridge. The deceased died from head injuries as a result of being assaulted.

A group of four males are known to have been in the vicinity prior to and about the time the security guards body was discovered. So far these persons have not contacted Police. The group has been described as being;

Males – Polynesian
Age between 17-20 years
Wearing casual street clothing

Detective Sergeant Murray Free of the Waitakere CIB said, “We will again be appealing to the public for their help in this enquiry.”

“Police want the wide Polynesian community to be aware of this screening. Someone in this community may have vital information that could help Police solve this homicide.”
