Improve your fitness and take the swim challenge - 53 kilometres in three months! This year's long-distance swim challenge, 1 February - 30 April, is equivalent to a circuit of Lake Mead in Nevada, USA, near Las Vegas.

It's also a fundraiser for Wellington-based para-triathlete Nick Ruane who won a silver medal at the 2011 world triathlon champs in Nevada - hence the 'location' of the swim challenge.

Entry to the swim challenge is by gold coin donation; proceeds go to Nick's travel and training costs for the 2012 season including the world championships in Auckland.

You can swim or aquajog the challenge at any of our pools. You don't have to be a top swimmer - just dive in and have a go.

There'll be spot prizes along the way.

For more information, see:

Featured Events - Swim Challenge - Las Vegas Bay

Alternatively, phone (04) 499 4444 or ask any of our poolside staff.
