The Marlborough District Council is preparing a management plan for the Taylor River Reserve and is keen to hear your ideas, comments and suggestions.

The area from Taylor Dam to the Riverside Park amphitheatre is used and enjoyed by many people for exercise, dog-walking and recreation and it is also a relaxed and open space for neighbouring houses and businesses. There are some ideas already, such as more Tui-to-Town native plantings and a permanent events space.

How would you like to see the area develop?

What activities, plantings, events and amenities do you suggest?

Our future vision includes enhancement and recreation areas all along the river, from the Dam to the Sea, so please take this opportunity to also send in ideas for the river from town to the Wairau Lagoons.

A draft plan will be put together for your feedback so this will not be your last chance to comment.

The Taylor River Floodway Reserve Recreation and Amenity Plan comes under s.41 Reserves Act 1977.

Potential development ideas may be constrained by flood control considerations.
