Inspirational, razor-witted and scandalously funny - Peta Mathias is coming to a town near you!

The author, television personality and chef will be telling tall stories, ironing out the agonizing problems of your life, sautéeing up a storm, singing of lost love and explaining how egg whites can transform your life.

Peta has been presenting her food and travel television shows, writing food books and hosting gastronomic tours for many years. Her latest trio of books focus on social commentary and relationships. And for the first time she is putting it all together in a stage show! Fasten your seat belts for a great night
out!

Peta Mathias is an esteemed Kiwi identity … a woman of wit, wisdom and wicked humour, with whom audiences connect, via their own life experience and their hearts. After countless book tours, cooking classes and corporate appearances itʼs high time Peta toured the country with her very own show! From nurse, to drug and alcohol therapist, to singer, Parisian chef, and her current incarnation as an author, television personality, international culinary tour host, Petaʼs lived, loved and has the stories to share. With subject matter ranging from travel to relationships, sex, food, fashion and the whys and wherefores of just being human, she is quite simply a Force of Nature … and sheʼs thrilled to be sharing her talents on the stage!

Petaʼs kicking it all off in March/April 2012 with shows in five lower South Island centres … Timaru, Oamaru, Wanaka, Invercargill and Dunedin. Get ready for a great night out complete with …

Storytelling. Anyone who has attended one of Petaʼs book-launches, cooking classes, or corporate functions will know she is a hugely entertaining and informative speaker. And after her new book called “Beat till Stiff”, she has provocative and thought provoking stories of transformation just begging for an audience. Accompanied by filmed and photographed material from Petaʼs latest TV shows and culinary adventures, Peta will also speak about the odyssey that is filming a TV seriesʼ and about her culinary tours, on which the shows are based.

Cooking. With her characteristic flair, Peta will whip up something delicious on-stage. 

Agony. Peta was once a professional therapist and guidance councillor and now writes an “Agony Aunt” column for the Dominion Post newspaper. Singing. Anyone whoʼs ever heard Petaʼs versions of Edith Piaf songs will know she can indeed move listeners to tears. Expect some wonderful renditions.
