Nomination closing date extended

The closing date for nominations for the Far North District Council’s 2007 Citizens Awards has been extended.


Nominations will now close on Friday 18 January 2008, not this Friday (02 November) as previously indicated.


If you know of someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the community in which they live and work and is deserving of wider recognition, now is the time to lodge a nomination.


The annual awards are designed to publicly acknowledge people who behind the scenes work voluntarily for the benefit of others and make outstanding contributions to maintain the health, safety and well-being of their communities.


Ten awards will be made this year.


Nomination forms are available from council service centres, libraries and via the council website at www.fndc.govt.nz.
