WELLINGTON

The festive and colourful Latin tunes of the Julie Bevan Trio will weave a tapestry of sound in Lower Hutt's Civic Gardens as part of the Banks Shoes Shapeshifter sculpture exhibition on Thursday 15 March from 7pm - 8.30pm.

There'll be feet tapping, hips swaying and spectators enticed by the exotic sounding Brazilian-spiced melodies and rhythms.

Julie Bevan is a Lower Hutt based musician with a passion for Latin inspired music. Her Latin-American styled music has trilled audiences in festivals all around New Zealand.

The trio's music will add to the magic of Shapeshifter, which is illuminated with special lighting in the Civic Gardens until 10pm on Thursdays. Picnickers are welcome to enjoy the sunset at this family-friendly event.

The Banks Shoes Shapeshifter exhibition features over 50 works of contemporary sculpture from top and emerging New Zealand sculptors. For further information on the exhibition visit www.shapeshifter.org.nz
