For many, Easter is a favourite time of year which presents the opportunity to spend uninterrupted time with family. It also marks the beginning of the April school holidays and often leaves parents questioning how they will keep the kids entertained during that time.

Bayfair has just the solution. During the school holidays, the centre will be rolling out a two stage approach to kids’ entertainment.

Once kids have enjoyed their own Easter egg hunts over the long weekend, Bayfair will entice them with its own adaptation. From Monday 9 to Sunday 15 April, kids will be able to collect two activity sheets from the Bayfair Information Desk, located outside Kmart. One of the activity sheets is based on an ‘eye spy’ game which encourages participants to look for points of interest throughout Bayfair. The other will follow the theme of a treasure hunt.

Those who complete their missions will receive a small gift and if the tasks are correctly accomplished, will go into the draw to win one of three $50 Bayfair gift cards. The activity sheets are available to kids up to 12 years of age.

Back by popular demand is the Eventful Kids Creativity Centre. From Monday 16 to Friday 20 April, between 11am and 3pm, parents will be able to leave their children aged 3 to 12 years in the care of Eventful Kids Creativity Centre staff for up to an hour.

“We are delighted to bring this great school holiday activity back to Bayfair,” says Bayfair marketing manager Nina Rivett. While parents take time out to do a bit of shopping or have a quiet coffee, the children can indulge in some good old fashioned play. The Creativity Centre offers an exciting range of crafts and plenty of scope to let children’s ideas come to life.”

For the less crafty, there is the opportunity to create a story, animate it with puppets, dress up for effect, or share it with others using the story-boards.

Located outside Farmers, there is no booking or payment required, however the number of places is limited and the service operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
