The Taste Marlborough market day will be held in Market Square on Easter Saturday – the perfect time for a stroll in the autumn sunshine, taking in the stalls offering arts and crafts and everything from seasonal fruit and vegetables to oils and preserves. It’s a nice place to bring your out-of-town visitors too.

And if you love what you see at the World of Wearable Arts you might be interested in dropping into the Creative Fibre National Exhibition being held this Easter at the Millennium Art Gallery. This exhibition brings together spinners, weavers, knitters, dyers, flax workers, felters, free form fibre artists and the various others who use fibre in their craft.

Parking over Easter at the Alfred Street parking building will be free of charge. The barrier arm will be up and tickets won’t be required over the long Easter Weekend, after 5.30 pm on Thursday until 9.00 am Tuesday morning. It’s a good chance to get familiar with the building if you’ve never parked there before.
