QUEENSTOWN

The Inspiring Stories Charitable Trust will be visiting Queenstown on our national road trip next Tuesday and Wednesday, April 17th-18th.

We're partnered with the New Zealand Film Commission, and we work with young people to teach them how to write, film and edit their own stories, and we'll visit 23 towns and cities on this tour, working with hundreds of students aged 13 to 19.

In Queenstown, we'll be holding a one-day filmmaking workshop for 20 young people in Queenstown. The workshops will run from 8.45am to 4pm at Queenstown's Otago Polytechnic, April 18th. There'll be photo opportunities all day as young people learn storytelling, camera and editing skills. We will be available to talk to a reporter at 12pm.

We’ll also be having a community film screening of some national award-winning short films by young New Zealanders at Wakatipu High School's 'Terminal' Tuesday April 17, 7-9pm. Discussion about the films is encouraged, and entry is by koha, with half of the profits going to the WHS Angelo Programme.
We're also holding a film competition that we're encouraging young people from Queenstown to enter, more details are on our website. Registration is now open and submissions close on July 31.

Please call me on 021 829 919 or Guy on 021 243 9869  if you'd like further information. Our bios are below, and for more about us and Inspiring Stories, visit our website at www.inspiringstories.org.nz. You can also find us on Facebook at www.facebook/inspiringstoriestrust.
